«CAMEx» Motor Club
CAMEx is the car and bike extreme motor club for professional and amateur off-road racers. It was founded by Tver aficionados of automobile sports in February 2007. The club is located in Klimitino village (Tver region), just 35 km away from Tver. The main objective of the club is the development of automobile sports in the Tver region and its popularization among the youth.
CAMEx is the only club in the Central federal district of the Russian Federation which unites the two major automobile sports movements, jeepers and street-racers, and has its own grounds. Its closeness to Tver, convenient location and easy access from both Moscow and St Petersburg, and sufficient grounds area make it possible to conduct a variety of club events, training, and races including certain stages of Russian Championships.
The CAMEx team are very active and participate in all kinds of regional, national, and international automobile races. Club members are successful contestants in many disciplines — such as jeep-trial, trophy-raid, sprint, rally-cross, drag-racing — and winners of medals and prizes.
Today CAMEx is one of the most dynamic developing sports and leisure centers in the Central federal district.
